The Manager, HR & Payroll Services, is responsible for providing a full range of payroll and HR services to the clients and managing HR & Payroll team members

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists Head of HRP
  • Responsible for providing a full range of payroll and HR services to the clients
  • Manages clients payroll schedule and own team members schedule
  • Assists and advices for smooth operations of clients’ monthly payroll calculation
  • Reviews clients’ monthly, yearly payroll operations
  • Organizes required payroll related payments
  • Participates in APAC Payroll meeting/conference call
  • Engages, liaises and supervises external counsel when its necessary
  • Supervises and coaches team members
  • Works with HR on recruitment activities, performance review and employee relations matters
  • Participates and advices on an project as when its necessary

Job Specific Requirements

  • Degree Holder in Business, Human Resources, Accountancy or related disciplines is preferred;
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in payroll services, preferably in an outsourcing environment; or have managed large employees’ payroll in a multi-national organization;
  • Previous experience in sizeable professional services firm will be an advantage;
  • Sound experiences in handling local employment regulations, tax practices, pension and other related issues;
  • Supervisory experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications;
  • Strong excel skills (e.g. Vlookups, If statements, Pivot tables);
  • Preferred experience with payroll software (e.g. Bugyo, Obic-7, Company, SAP, or PeopleSoft);
  • Good command in both spoken and written Japanese and English (TOEIC 850 or above);
  • Professional qualification holder, or ability to secure professional qualifications.
