Make an impact with our Tax Services Group as a Senior Manager, Cross-Border Personal Tax. This diverse team of professionals provides best-in-class industry and technical expertise to internally drive the success of our Tax practice. As a trusted advisor, you’ll work internally to support the delivery of tax services, the development and coordination of key training programs and materials and the communication of tax matters.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and delivery of internal training materials and practice aids that support MNP’s Cross-Border (US/Canadian) personal tax practice
  • Facilitate and assist with firm-wide Cross-Border personal tax learning and development events as needed
  • Contribute to thought leadership content by conducting research and maintaining awareness of changes in US and Canadian tax legislation as well as drafting related internal and external tax publications for MNP
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes and tools for use by Cross-Border personal tax team members in the delivery of those services to our clients

Skills and Experience

  • Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Working towards or completion of a Master’s degree in US Taxation considered an asset
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in Cross-Border personal tax in a public accounting and/or tax consulting practice
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the preparation and review of US and Canadian individual income tax returns, and related planning/reorganizations
  • Solid understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
  • Experience working with, or exposure to, accounting and tax software such as CaseWare and CCH Axcess
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven technical writing and research skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities
