Divison

Morgan Stanley's Internal Audit Department reports to the Firm's Board Audit Committee and comprises financial/ technology and risk auditors. Our mission is to be recognized as a strong and high performing audit function that is viewed as a trusted authority and advisor to the Board/ Firm management and industry regulators in assessing and strengthening the Firm's control environment. Internal Audit provides independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of Morgan Stanley's internal control/ risk management and governance systems and processes.

Data Analytics & Innovation auditors assist business and technology audit teams provide assurance over the business process/ application and system infrastructure controls that manage business risks and are responsible for understanding/ analyzing/ and testing the technology controls/ including those over data accuracy/ completeness and processing/ systems development/ application security and entitlements/ production management and technology governance. Individuals are also responsible for driving process and technology innovation within the department with a strong emphasis on automation and gaining deeper insights from our Firm's data.

Team

The role will reside within the Internal Audit's Data Analytics team in India. The team is looking for a Manager who will work alongside the Data Analytics lead to develop analytics/ dashboards and insights within Internal Audit.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be Data Curious - Analyze large complex data sets to produce compelling insights and identify trends and outliers.
  • Work with the Data Analytics lead and other stakeholders to establish project objectives
  • Define detailed requirements including business rules and data acquisition needs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly dashboards and visualizations
  • Develop processes and scripts to Extract/ Transform and Load (ETL) data
  • Maintain strong client focus by building strong relationships with Firm-wide stakeholders and identify opportunities to utilize data analytics solutions and tools in Internal Audit

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational & Professional Credentials
  • Bachelor's in Information Technology/ Computing/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ or related fields
  • 6-8 years of experience in related field of data analytics
  • Certifications in Tableau/ CISA/ CISSP/ Python etc. would be an advantage
Skills and Qualities
  • Extensive experience developing dashboards in Tableau and QlikView
  • Experience using SQL/ Python etc. to create complex queries for extracting and analyzing data
  • Familiar with database design concepts
  • Experience in Internal Audit banking and capital markets would be an advantage
  • Ability to translate complex technical data concepts and language into business context
  • Working understanding of data protection and data sensitivity rules and best practices
  • Experience working with global teams preferred
  • Excellent communication skills/ both/ written and oral
