We're looking for a model developer who will:

• design, build and test Natural Language Processing models and solutions that improve our written / electronic communication surveillance capabilities
• ensure adherence to standards related to our AI development pipeline, model validation, documentation, front / back-end interfaces and workflow procedures
• design and implement reusable Python assets, code templates, and ongoing AI development framework enhancements
• stakeholder management across various levels within the business units and interactions with all relevant GCRG stakeholders
• collaborate with data architects and IT specialists to support the development of a data strategy and bespoke technical infrastructure

Your team
Methodologies and Models within Group Compliance, Regulatory and Governance is a newly established unit which uses state of the art AI/Machine Learning based solutions, covering the entire non-financial risk control and compliance space. Your pod is responsible for model development related to electronic communications (chats & emails) surveillance. Our mandate is to design and build the next-generation methodology set and AI development pipeline & tooling in an end-to-end responsibility. We are an agile organized team, with a startup setup and entrepreneurial spirit, embedded within a global financial institution.

Your expertise
• graduate degree in Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• prior experience in Analytical / statistical model development, using advanced quantitative & machine learning methods. Experience in risk & compliance domain preferred
• experience developing natural language models and natural language feature extraction
• understanding of NoSQL & Relational databases. Elasticsearch experience a plus
• strong dedication to thorough and clear model & code documentation
• experience with Git, clear understanding of version control practices. Gitlab CI/CD Pipelines a plus
• experience working within UNIX/Linux environments, Microsoft Azure (or comparable cloud platforms) a plus.
• prior development experience in Python
• familiarity with common natural language models, machine learning models, and modern NLP methodologies (Transformers, FastText, Word2Vec, Doc2Vec, SVM, & HMM)
• familiarity with techniques for quantitative model transparency and interpretability techniques (SHAP, LIME, & etc.)
• basic understanding of IT and software engineering principles
• good communication, writing & presentation skills
• fluent in English, additional languages a plus
