Our partner, an international development & humanitarian organisation, is looking to recruit an Interim Head of FPA to cover a secondment. This is a hands on role, and requires someone comfortable with manipulating high volumes & complex data.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the monthly budget variance analysis at country, regional and global levels, and undertake financial and operational analysis to measure business unit performance.
• Monthly reporting and modelling for the programmes team, SMT and Board.
• Support in NICRA modelling and management
• Support in reviewing and standardising reporting, and financial process improvements.
• Managerial responsibility of a small team.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant, or MBA, with demonstratable experience of FP&A, specifically undertaking complex analysis and modelling for an international charity, ideally both within HQ and field settings.
• Knowledge of UKGAAP and USGAAP.
• Experience of working with institutional donors including USAID, FCDO and the EU.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and an ability to translate complex financial data, analysis and concepts to both finance and non-finance staff.
• Advanced MSExcel skills, and strong systems skills (knowledge of both accounting and reporting software).

This a 3-month contract with an immediate start preferred. A European-based candidate is sought for this role.
