Experienced VAT Compliance Specialist for Romania

• Bachelor Degree;
• 2-3 years of working experience in tax or/and accounting area, experience in VAT taxation from both compliance and consulting perspective;
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Advanced Excel);
• Excellent command of Romanian and English - both speaking and writing;
• Analytical thinking and attention to details;
• Well-organized and project management capabilities;
• Ability to plan and organize tasks;
• Skills to act both independently and within the team;
• Curiosity to learn and understand VAT processes, tax law;
• Ability to share knowledge and coach junior staff.

• Process and review the VAT data and information received from the client;
• Prepare the recurrent VAT returns in compliance with the local law;
• Identify VAT related issues and summarize these in writing for client’s attention;
• Manage compliance-related aspects of the clients portfolio;
• Assist clients in front of the tax authorities, VAT audits;
• Assist in delivering and monitoring multiple client engagements;
• Train and mentor junior staff;
• Assist Managers in business development efforts - drafting proposals, client meetings and negotiations;
• Monitor legislative updates;
• Actively participate in developing and/or customizing the VAT apps.
