Financial Analyst

What will your role be in the team

  • Complete accounting and reporting activities for several countries in order to accurately reflect financial data in ExxonMobil Corporation’s consolidated, published external results
  • Opportunity to join our Digital Innovation Program to upscale your capabilities in the digital and innovation space
  • Participate in our Accounting Training program to further enhance your skills and deepen your knowledge in inventory, cost and pension accounting
  • Build knowledge of Upstream, Downstream, and Chemicals businesses
  • Specialize in accounting for cash and banking, upstream operations, intercompany or fixed assets transactions, special business events, and monthly/quarterly/annual activities
  • Prepare financial statements and Balance sheet/Income statement analysis for one or more EM affiliates
  • Calculate, report, and analyze corporate income tax provisions, deferred taxes, effective tax rates, and pension benefit plans; liaise with internal and external experts and data providers
  • Reconcile and investigate items for prompt resolution
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly key performance indicators
  • Participate in various site wide initiatives, including charity efforts, inclusion & diversity events, or networks to develop and grow your leadership skills

What are we looking for

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Bachelor/Master degree (or pending degree with only the final exam outstanding) in Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent with 0-2 years relevant work experience (in accounting, finance, payroll or other relevant experience)
  • Accounting background with minimum of 3 semesters of studies (and strong understanding of it)
  • Fluent level of English and second European language, besides Hungarian, is encouraged (i.e.: Italian, French, German, Dutch etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with passion for innovation and process transformation
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Willingness to take self-initiative and seek challenges
  • Ability to influence others and work in a team environment
  • Good communication and effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with others and work in teams, including colleagues around
  • Attention to accuracy and detail and ability to meet priorities and deadlines
  • Interest to develop knowledge in the digital and innovation space
  • Interest in ongoing learning to grow your skills and capabilities to progress your career and expand our responsibilities
