Treasury and Chief Investment Office (TCIO) is responsible for delivering on the firm's strategic priorities across liquidity management as well as management of structural interest rate and foreign exchange risks. In addition, it manages the wholesale funding and capital raising activities for the firm, as well as the daily cash position. The group oversees the funds transfer pricing policies, and works closely with the various lines of business in establishing the principles of how funds are valued across the firm.

Position Description:

The Vice Present-level position based in Singapore will be primarily responsible for:

(1) Execution of liquidity funding trades as part of liquidity risk management activities, (2) Management of securities for regulatory and investment books, and (3) Execution of FX deals to hedge the Firm's non-USD foreign exchange risks. This includes booking of trades necessary, production of various reporting, liaising with back and middle office teams regarding the cash position and assisting in other operational issues. The position will also assist in providing periodical market update and ad hoc reports as necessary to participate and support senior managers' decision making in portfolio management.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
  • Daily funding and liquidity risk management for Singapore branch and related entities, including local currency, USD and other active currency nostros
  • Collateral and reserve management, including purchase of Government/Corporate securities, for settlement and regulatory compliance
  • Manage positions (including BPV and liquidity profile) within assigned limits
  • Execution funding trades such as money markets, repo/reverse repo and FX with both internal and external counterparty
  • Daily pricing and submission of transfer pricing rates for Loans and Deposits
  • Daily P&L estimation and reporting
  • Prepare and review of other liquidity related reporting, including collateral report, stress test, daily market commentary, etc.
  • Participate in front-office projects such as balance sheet analysis, quarterly Structural Interest Rate Risk (SIRR) review and FX quarterly write-up.
  • Collaborate with internal functions including Funds Transfer Pricing & Liquidity Management Team, Liquidity Risk Oversight, Middle Office, Risk, Finance and Business Management team.
  • Liaison with interbank counterparties and other branch stakeholders such as CIB businesses, Singapore LEC and local compliance.
  • Holiday back up for other APAC branches as necessary

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other related disciplines
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in APAC regional currency and fixed income markets, funding, liquidity and balance sheet management
  • Attention to details and good understanding in different types of risk in investment activities
  • Strong sense of governance to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
  • Good team worker, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-directed, highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Bloomberg and Reuters Eikon; knowledge in VBA and coding would be a plus
