Working collaboratively to guide, support and challenge on all risk related matters, we're responsible for the successful delivery of the technology risk agenda against internal and regulatory requirements.

We're investing in our dedicated Distributed Infrastructure Services team where you can play to your strengths in leading on either Audit, Technology Risk or Controls but also give/get mutual support working as a team across all three areas.

Because as the Group develops its sophisticated hybrid Cloud approach our role in Distributed Infrastructure becomes even more vital.

And your mission? To be the expert that helps steer our wider team in ensuring modern technology management processes and practices are firmly embedded.

You'll set targeted improvements in both performance and compliance activities by working collaboratively with colleagues to drive improvements and build action plans for areas identified through control testing assessments.

You'll get the autonomy to handle your own workload - delivering quality pieces of work to set timescales and setting objectives as required.

What you'll be focussing on:
  • Challenging the efficiency of Risk management across multiple teams so that we continue to operate within appetite.
  • Providing advice and information on Risk, Audit, Control and Compliance matters in accordance with our policies, values and industry standards.
  • Reviewing controls MI to identify emerging issues / trends and articulate where more in depth oversight is required.
  • Representing the team at governance forums and present on Risk related activity.
  • Owning and supporting key relationships with external suppliers.

About you:

You'll need to be a superb communicator, capable of delivering clear messages and understanding at all levels internally and externally.

We're looking for someone who is well organised, process orientated and work in a matrix manner... Someone happy to muck in that enjoys teamwork and problem solving with passion.

What we're seeking experience-wise:
  • A background in Technology Risk, IT Audit or Control management
  • An understanding of technology risk frameworks, regulation, policies and standards applicable to the technology governance environment
  • Experience with engaging a wide range of IT colleagues on technology processes, Controls, Risk identification and mitigation

And some understanding across these (or other) areas would be useful:
  • Infrastructure Technologies - Middleware/Storage/Networks etc.
  • IT resilience, Cloud Services, DevOps, IT Incidents/Problems/Changes
  • Suppliers management/governance processes and outsourced 3rd party systems
