Institutional Banking and Markets is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. Your team:

Product Finance maintains the core controls over the IB&M business products including the responsibility for ensuring reporting in accordance with Accounting Standards and specifically on an appropriate Fair Value basis.
Globally Product Finance is responsible for the independent oversight and financial control of all IB&M business products, encompassing Global Markets & Client Solutions (lending/leasing).

Your impact and contribution :

The product controllers mandate is to maintain a strong control framework around daily P&L and financial reporting. In addition, developing relationships with Front Office & other stakeholder areas such as Risk and Operations will be a key success factor in order to promote the Product Control group as a trusted and respected business partner.
Reporting to the Executive Manager of International Product Control in London, this role is responsible for Product Control across the International offices.

The role will also necessitate close working relationships with the senior Finance stakeholders located in London, New York and Amsterdam.
Do work that matters:
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing the product control function of Fixed Income, Rates and FX desks
  
• Review of daily, monthly and quarterly P&L results and analysis in line with market moves, P&L drivers and risk positions
  
• Managing and training of junior team members
  
• Partnering Front Office on strategic initiatives
  
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of product source system data interfacing the general ledger
  
• Review and oversight of balance sheet substantiation and month end ledger close
  

We are interested in hearing form you if you have:

• Highly numerate with excellent understanding of financial products including derivatives, valuation concepts such as XVA and IPV and accounting, specifically in respect to Fair Value reporting and risk management systems (ideally Murex and Wall Street).
  
• VBA and SQL at intermediate level
  
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus with a proven history of building relationships within and across business streams, functional areas and regions.
  
• High attention to detail, including strong problem solving skills and issue ownership abilities.
  
• Graduate qualifications in finance, business and/or economics
  
• 4+ years’ experience in a Product Control function is highly desirable
