Within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Contract (AASC), due to continued growth, we have a vacancy for an experienced Risk and Assurance Manager to join our team in Warrington. AASC offers a range of improvements, with particular focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system.

Whilst the stakeholder and operational delivery teams are focused on their Customer and Service User responsibilities, this critical role supports the Head of Compliance, Risk & Security in all aspects including Contractual Compliance, Risk and Assurance. You will work as part of a team responsible for delivering the AASC assurance strategy ensuring regulation, policies and procedures are being applied appropriately, whilst always looking for ways to improve processes.

This is a demanding role where you will be accountable for assisting with essential supporting activities, as well as undertaking projects as directed that meet both business and wider Serco initiatives and priorities. You will play a vital part in the continuous improvement of the AASC contract by conducting assurance reviews and seeking to provide efficient and effective solutions to potential business risk.

What you'll need to do the job

First and foremost, knowledge and experience of compliance, risk and assurance within a private or public sector service industry.

This is an opportunity for an individual who is a self-starter with excellent self-management skills, with demonstrable confidence when liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to deliver results.

You must have excellent people management skills with at least 2 years in a management role with clear, proven record of operational delivery. Equally, we can support personal development around this area for the right candidate with the characteristic attributes in line with our values and team ethos.

Finally, flexibility is a must - this role will cover all the Serco AASC regions, so you must have the willingness and ability to travel within the UK (a valid UK driver`s licence is essential).
