The Data Management team within ICG Analytics group is primarily responsible for measuring profitability and returns generated from institutional clients. The team comprises of global staff at NY, London, and Mumbai. The work requires extensive coordination with sales and product teams, Finance, Treasury and Risk teams, with the CDO team and several capital management teams. The role is to lead the efforts to develop a robust reporting infrastructure to support business reviews and also to establish transparent data flow to CRMs

  • Understand ICG's product offering to meet the banking needs of Large Corporates, Commercial clients, and Financial Institutions
  • Understand basic accounting and capital allocation that drives the P&L and balance sheet of ICG and its businesses
  • Manage monthly production of historical client profitability and returns metrics as well as a separate analytical tool for building loan scenarios by evaluating profitability and returns from the characteristics of the proposal loan
  • Coordinate with business and support functions on governance of client profitability and returns models
  • Coordinate with Finance, Sales and O&T partners in consolidating standard reference data as well as developing and consolidating incremental client reference data such as multiple attributes related to clients and client segmentations
  • Coordinate on quarterly business reviews and other ad-hoc reporting needs from ICG seniors
  • Maintain data-models and data-dictionary along with working with various partners in improving process efficiency for accessing strategic data and for distributing monthly metrics to multiple CRMs
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry including accounting and Basel rules
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Additional knowledge of Python and SQL preferred
  • Ability to mine through large volumes of data, draw conclusions, and present them succinctly
  • Attention to detail in terms of analyzing distribution of metrics by client to identify data quality issues and pursue them with relevant teams for resolution
  • Foster and build relationships across multiple front office teams and other peer groups
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
