Manager – ISC Finance, Functional Leads – Reporting & Analytics (Finance, GDC)

At Baxter, we are building a best-in-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. We are implementing a transformative program which will streamline processes, enhance systems, improve forecasting accuracy, strengthen business partnerships, and enhance opportunities for personal skill-building and professional growth.

This position will report to the Director – Reporting & Analytics (Finance, Global Delivery Center) will work closely with GDC and Advance Analytics and will interact with a group of global commercial finance and FP&A stakeholders, the FP&A Center of Expertise (CoE) team, as well as the broader Finance community.This position will support the establishment of meaningful standard global reports to increase efficiency and deliver insights to the organization, focused on Integrated Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive the use of reporting/ analytic tools and AI to facilitate exploration and explanation of data including the use of data visualization solutions
  • Be the global process owner for designing critical global tools aligned to ISC Finance reporting strategy to meet the needs of key KPIs to help run the business (i.e. global sales tool or global SGP tool)
  • Partner with the GDC to develop standard set of tools that meet business’ needs
  • Drive global adoption of standard tools that meet business’ needs
  • Help transform the finance organization mindset from backward-looking to forward-looking
  • Perform strategic ad hoc reporting with heavy financial analysis tracking business performance to facilitate decision making and business support
  • Help develop the future KPIs required to meet business and finance strategic objectives
  • Increasing learning and development opportunities to improve business analytics acumen
  • Help improve data quality and associated governance
  • Partner with Local County Teams, Accounting COE, FP&A Managers and Corporate teams within commercial and manufacturing/supply chain organizations to understand, drive and support decision making ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Effectively communicate key design initiatives from the Global FP&A Group to key stakeholders / broader organization as appropriate, including Senior Management

Key Competencies:

  • Strong functional knowledge in Integrated Supply Chain Organization (Planning & Fulfillment and Manufacturing)
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and experience in consolidations, financial planning, and reporting
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, how to optimize performance and customer experience
  • Change agent with ability to effectively manage and drive impactful change
  • Ability to lead and operate in a team-oriented environment and influence
  • Strong process mindset and proven success in leading business initiatives to deliver large scale process improvements
  • Strong ownership mentality; maintains focus on driving projects to completion and delivering output/results
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage tasks concurrently; owns career and is accountable for managing own development
  • Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and create concise and compelling visualizations and insights to senior leadership audience

Key Functional Competencies (4-5):

  • Expert in technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment
  • Excellent analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent financial modeling skills preferred, experience in statistical modeling techniques is a plus
  • Good technical knowledge and know-how of reporting tools and technologies (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
  • Experience driving organizational changes is a plus

  • Self-starter with excellent analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required
  • English: Native or bilingual proficiency required
  • Professional proficiency in other languages a plus

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • 6+ years of overall experience working with a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required, or a related discipline.
  • 4 + years of relevant experience with consolidations, financial planning, and reporting
  • 2+ years of exposure in conceptualizing and designing reporting, dashboarding and good know-how of analytical tools such as Tableau/Power BI/Alteryx
  • Strong business acumen in corporate functions (such as finance or FP&A) and/ or integrated supply chain (ISC), manufacturing, R&D, etc. is preferred
  • Proven experience driving large scale transformation and adoption of new technologies in financial area
  • Certifications in Agile Methodology/ Project Management/ Change management is preferred
