The Member Engagement Manager is accountable for developing and implementing plans designed to enhance member value and strengthen member engagement and advocacy within a market.
The role has a growing focus on enhancing member value through partnerships and on creating and nurturing communities in line with ACCA's strategic ambition within the Western and Central Europe.
The role:
- Develops and executes the member engagement plan for the Western and Central Europe cluster, with a view to maximising member value, engagement and advocacy
- Builds and delivers a plan for the development of advocacy-driven member communities to support the delivery of ACCA's global approach
- Works with relevant internal stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes, key performance indicators and targets
- Actively manages relationships with influential members and member advocates to maximise positive impact on ACCA's business and reputation
- Develops and implements local member initiatives and face-to-face events as agreed, to build membership engagement
- Collaborates with colleagues locally and regionally to leverage global solutions and expertise to build member value
- Supports the development of member communities to enhance member value and identify insights to help improve value propositions
- Works with colleagues locally and regionally to support and develop partner relationships in ways that build member value and advocacy and maximise the value of partner relationships to ACCA
- Where relevant, supports member networks and panels ensuring critical issues are managed sensitively. Seeks to evolve networks and panels towards a more community- and advocacy-based approach in line with ACCA's strategic ambition
- Gathers market knowledge and researches the membership base to generate insight which supports the evolution of ACCA's membership approaches and initiatives. Channels insight to the centre as appropriate to support the development of products, propositions and services
- Provides guidance to colleagues from other teams who need to interact with members from the local market
- Reports regularly on progress through the appropriate reporting mechanisms
The Person
- Educated at least to degree Bc or Master level with at least 5 years of experience with engagement
- Demonstrable experience of building and sustaining effective relationships and communities across all seniority levels
- Demonstrable experience of managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Understanding of the accounting and finance sector and economic trends
- Knowledge and interest in the skills and career development landscape
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence people at all levels. Confident and clear oral communication skills
- Experience of working with and managing volunteers
- Experience of working with committees/ panels may be required
- Knowledge of MS Teams and social media platforms
- Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
- Able to plan, manage and work on own initiative to deliver results within strict deadlines and agreed budget
- Previous experience of working without supervision and taking ownership for the overall agenda, ability to suggest course of action based on the data analysis
- Personal drive in building relationships and motivation of individuals
- Ability to interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
- Team player, able to work independently, creative and being able to take ownership, flexibility and open to deliver presentations to public, high professional and ethical standards
- Mastering Czech/Slovak language as well as English, German language is welcome
