Internal Audit Manager

This is an Internal Audit Manager position for a new set up under a listed Japanese Conglomerate. It is an exciting position where the individual gets to be part of the team to set up/expand the Regional IA function for APAC.

Client Details

Our client is a listed manufacturing company with strong presence in the APAC region. The company has set up a new entity and is looking for an Internal Audit (IA) Manager to work closely with HQ and enhance the IA capabilities for APAC market.

Description

Reporting to the GM of Internal Audit, you will be:

• Responsible for the regional Internal Audit function, supporting over 40 affiliates across APAC
• Set up the IA function for the new entity, partner closely with HQ on the design of the IA programme
• Planning and executing business risk, finance and operational audits activities across various business units
• Adopting an integrated audit methodological, include data analytics and IT solutions to mitigate risk and drive improvements
• A strong business partner to department heads, directly engaging with auditees, highlight control deficiencies and provide training / remediation plans

Profile

• Accounting/Finance Degree, CA and CIA qualified, with at least 5 years' experience in internal audit, with a combination of experience from a Big 4 and MNC set up
• Hands on, experience with IA programme set up in a regional capacity, independent and able to work in ambiguity
• Highly analytical with a curious mindset, you are an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Able to think commercially for the business while maintaining independence and integrity
• Confident dealing with senior management across the region, willing to travel up to 30% under safe conditions
• Technically strong, experience with JSOX / SOX will be highly advantageous
