Based from our state-of-the-art Head Office in Altrincham, with an extremely flexible hybrid working approach
Here at Lookers plc, we are looking for a qualified Head Office Accountant to lead the production of timely and accurate financial information, as well as providing direct financial support for Head Office departments.
As well as being responsible for producing monthly management accounts for Head Office departments, the postholder will manage a small team to ensure work and priorities are set and the team have clear objectives so they can develop their careers with Lookers.
This is an important role within the finance team, and some other key responsibilities for the Head Office Accountant are; reconciliation of balance sheets, design and implement reporting systems, identify and implement improvements to processes and act as a key contact in the external and internal audit processes.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, as it is important for them to build partnerships and strong relationships with senior managers, assisting them with developing annual business plans, budgets and shorter-term forecasts.
Commercially driven, the Head Office Accountant will improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance, as well as deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities, providing options and scenarios for business decisions.
We are looking for a qualified accountant (or a candidate who can show a clear path to qualification) who is analytical, customer focused and has experience of leading a small team.
