WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You'll play a key role in this, by investigating and analysing transaction monitoring alerts.
You'll also be reviewing customer transactions as part of periodic and event-driven enhanced monitoring on higher risk relationships.

The difference you'll make.
Investigating and analysing all automated transaction monitoring alerts across the Santander product range.
Conducting investigations into accounts upon which alerts have been generated.
Using your judgement and decision-making skills, to determine whether grounds for suspicion of money laundering or terrorist financing exist.
Engaging with other areas of the bank to collate the information required to adequately understand the activity and make appropriate decisions.
Raising internal suspicious activity reports directly with the Suspicious Activity Reporting Unit) following the agreed internal escalation and review procedure.
Writing clear rationale in order to justify decisions.
What you'll bring.
We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank's capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers.
Previous experience in a Transaction Monitoring role within Corporate Banking.
Ability to identify AML and Terrorist Financing Risk and experience of suspicious activity reporting.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance position.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert and consolidate complex data into simple messages and reports.
Proven investigation and rationale write up skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
This is permanent position and can be based in our offices in Milton Keynes, Bradford, Glasgow or Sheffield.
