Overview

We are looking for a high calibre individual to support with the delivery of outsourced accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients within the business. You will be training towards your accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/AAT), for which we offer a competitive study support policy. You will be an excellent communicator, have an eagerness to learn and thrive on working in a team environment.

The Role
  • Processing bank reconciliations, invoice processing using cloud technology and other bookkeeping tasks
  • Using cloud accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks Online, Dext Prepare) and maintaining accurate records
  • Preparing the monthly accounts including relevant month end adjustments i.e. prepayments, accruals and other balance sheet reconciliations as required
  • Preparing VAT returns and tracking deadlines across your client portfolio
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Communicating with clients and your team to ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide regular updates to your line manager on the progress of your work

Requirements
  • Working towards accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, AAT etc)
  • Experience in both industry and practice will be considered for the role
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to develop strong working relationships across all levels of business
  • A pro-active approach to problem solving and willingness to deliver innovative solutions
  • Eagerness to apply and develop technical accounting knowledge to the role
  • Experience of key accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks is preferred and proficient on Microsoft Excel
  • Strong time management skills to deliver for all clients in a varied portfolio
