Job Description
NES Fircroft are working with Woodside Energy in search for 3 x Assistant Accountants to work within the Accounts Payable division.
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Perth CBD
Roster: Monday to Friday
Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Length of Contract: 12 months
Pay Rate: Negotiable
The Assistant Accountant role is a great opportunity to join the Financial Services function for a Major Oil & Gas Operator and support a range of accounting activities. You will work closely with various finance teams through delivery of timely and accurate accounting transactions.
The roles support the timely processing and delivery of finance transactions across multiple areas, which may include: management accounting, financial accounting, joint venture accounting, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Working from our clients state-of-the-art building in Perth CBD, you will work closely with various finance teams, supporting transactional activities. Typical duties and responsibilities will include:
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need demonstrated experience in an accounting / finance / bookkeeping capacity.
Accounting qualifications are not mandatory, although you may be studying towards an accounting qualification. A working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP is of benefit.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in an accounts receivable capacity and be familiar with:
Size of Team: We currently have 36 Assistant Accountants, as part of a larger Finance function (circa 140 people)
Additional Information: Initial 12-month assignment, with potential to extend depending on workload.

- Ensuring work is compliant with all statutory requirements, including tax and audit compliance and Woodside Code of Conduct; and
- Ensure effective record keeping and audit trail of business records and communications.
