With recent/exceptional growth LCG requires an experienced Financial Accountant to join its Finance team.
This is an exciting role and will be based in our Cardiff Office, reporting into the Group Financial Controller, who is based in HQ (Spennymoor).

Role Information
This role will take assist in ensuring that all transactional data is processed accurately and on time, delivering exceptional customer service to the Operational Finance Team, as well as managing the production of entity based financial statements at the month end.
You will report to the Group Financial Controller and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer as well as having the opportunity to work with other parts of the business.

DUTIES
- Ensure that financial reporting, is produced accurately and within agreed timescales. This includes assisting in the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts by working day ten.
- Close control of Balance Sheets and supporting reconciliations.
- Lead all statutory reporting and compliance, including year-end audit process.
- Produce the quarterly VAT returns.
- Oversee cash and working capital management, including the preparation of short-term cash flows and driving strong credit control.
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place to ensure that best practice is achieved, and risks mitigated. This includes ensuring that strong month end processes are in place and adhered to, to ensure that the reported financial results are accurate.
- Maintain group accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify systems and performance improvement opportunities , working with the GFC/Finance Team and the Operational Team to implement any changes required.

- Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA or similar).
- Solid Excel skills
- Ability to work on own initatve, but equally as part of team (more so that the majoiryu of team will be based in HQ (Spennymoor).
- Some staff management experience.
