The Role...

We are looking for an analytical and affable Charity Management Accountant to join our amazing MMW team. This role is offered on a 6 month fixed term basis located at our Poole HQ. Salary for this role is up to £30,000 + attractive Merlin benefits.

Reporting into the Charities Finance Director, you will be responsible for the legal accounting and reporting, providing strong financial controls and processes to safeguard resources. You will support all financial related elements and help deliver strategic objectives.

About You...
  • Partially qualified Accountant with recent background working in a Finance team, ideally in Management Accounting.
  • Practical experience of processing daily transactions and proficiency to reconcile ledger accounts.
  • A high standard of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Good understanding of Navision accounting software with practical experience being highly beneficial.
  • Strong comprehension of Company VAT with Charity VAT knowledge being useful.
  • Knowledge of Charity accounting would be advantageous including an awareness of Gift Aid.
  • Skill to effectively analyse data and challenge abnormalities or unexpected variances.
  • Excellent interpersonal social and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage many different tasks at once with strong attention to detail.
