Senior Analyst, Statutory Accounting

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will resolve financial support issues and inquiries from both internal and external customers and work with relevant non-accounting personnel in reviewing contracts to confirm company policies are adhered to and financial reporting requirements of the company are met.

You will:

• Perform monthly journal booking in accordance with Corporate Policy
• Complete assigned Reconciliation in accordance with Corporate Policy and minimize all reconciling items with aging greater than 60 days
• Highlight all problematic aging reconciliation items and update progress of resolving them
• Coordinate audit post mortem, overall audit planning and other APJC centric activities for APJC region
• Provide accounting support for tax audit related request, and tax computation and deferred tax
• Involve in Trial Balance analysis and fluctuation commentary

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification
• Minimum working experience of 3-5 years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC
• Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good organizational skills and has great initiative
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills required (verbal, written and presentations).

Desirable Requirements

• Ability to work within tight operating deadlines
• Goal oriented results driven with a strong desire to see tasks through to completion.
• Proven experience in supporting cross-functional teams an advantage.
• Strong PC skills particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Oracle and/or SAP user knowledge is an added advantage
• Ability to identify improvement opportunities & translate same from concept to reality.
