Finance Regulatory Specialist

You'll do:

• Execute daily/weekly/monthly reports related to Risk Weighted Assets (RWA), Large Exposure, Leverage and Capital analysis- Produce weekly updates to Senior Management in different cuts fit to audience
• Provide commentaries explaining movements on firm Capital, Pillar1 and Pillar 2 requirements as well as on Capital and Leverage ratios
• Partner with data teams, risk department and capital calculation teams to explain and validate daily, weekly variances in capital and RWA numbers, investigate and reconcile differences
• Interact with other stakeholders within the infrastructure
• Understand the business drivers, financial products, and drivers within the different calculation methodologies on reported RWAs cross the firm
• Challenge processes and procedures, enhance controls and support strategic development of firm systems on capital and RWA reporting

You have:

• Accounting/Finance degree or equivalent
• We welcome fresh graduates. 1+ years finance experience in the financial services industry is a plus (regulatory reporting, financial and product control, liquidity, treasury)
• Regulatory and compliance knowledge with financial background and risk management is a plus (Big 4 accounting experience preferable)
• Proven skills in investigating complex data issues and discover root causes
• Knowledge of financial products and regulatory capital/reporting rules/landscape is an advantage- Demonstrated ability to communicate in verbal/writing and present to various types of audience complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner
• Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution- Flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves
• Risk awareness and good guardianship skills
• Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic that works effectively in cross-functional team environment

The Regulatory Capital Reporting team is responsible for preparing Capital and Risk Weighted Assets reports and financial analysis for Morgan Stanley's EMEA legal entities in a daily, weekly monthly and quarterly basis. The group liaises with Regulatory Reporting teams in London and Germany as well as with other Finance teams globally.
