The successful candidate has the chance to work in the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely reporting, capital, new product costing and tendering.

Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will include:

  • Providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the growing business
  • Assisting in month end accounting processes including journals, reconciliations, and preparation of reports
  • Monthly posting of recurring journals including accruals and prepayments
  • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
  • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Preparation of product costings in a timely manner
  • Assist with pricing reviews by providing accurate, timely information in costings to ensure margin maximisation
  • Transpose the NPD formulations into costing template
  • Understand commodity/RM cost movements and key drivers
  • Improve process of information flow and integrity on information in product costings
  • Develop effective measures and provide analysis of capital spend and variances to budget

Profile

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting
  • CPA/CA qualifications (or working towards)
  • 2 - 3 years of finance experience (manufacturing environment experience will be an advantage).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and execute multiple competing tasks
  • An analytical mind and able to communicate insights effectively
  • Results and continuous improvement oriented
  • Enthusiasm for automation and use of systems to improve efficiency and drive business performance
  • Clear and strong communication skills both written and verbal
