Our partner, a small but growing international not for profit, is seeking a Grants Finance Manager to lead in the financial oversight and administration of its grants and programmes finance. You will be joining a small, but close-knit and supportive team.

Requirements

  • Work with the programmes and fundraising team in developing budgets for proposals, ensuring that these are demonstrate value for money and are developed on a full-cost recovery basis.
  • Support in the preparation of the organisational budget, forecasting and reforecasting process, and in the development of project budgets.
  • Responsible for understanding grants compliance requirements, working with the regional finance and programmes teams in ensuring these are properly implemented and adhered to.
  • Monitor project expenditure, ensure the proper allocation and monitoring of project costs, and review monthly account reconciliations.
  • Lead on the financial aspects of donor reporting, and responsible for internal project reporting.
  • Lead on partner due diligence, and in regularly conducting spot checks on partners as well as country/regional offices.
  • Lead on developing and strengthening internal controls and processes, including a Finance Procedures Manual, for the country and regional offices.
  • Lead on preparing for grant audits.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, with at least 3 years of experience withing grants/project finance roles within international charities.
  • Significant experience in managing a complex grants portfolio; this includes experience of full cycle grants management, fund accounting, budgeting, compliance and reporting.
  • Demonstrable analytical and advanced MSExcel skills, able to analyse financial data.
  • Strong business partner, able to work effectively with finance and non-finance staff, based in the UK and overseas.
  • Able to manage a varied work load, and understand the requirements of working in a medium-sized, yet complex INGO.

This is a permanent role, with the individual expected to be office based at least 1 day/week. This is UK-based role, and any candidates will need to have the right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
