Ecommerce, Sports & Entertainment, with turnover ranging from £200k to £20m.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Mixed Tax Manager to join a
rapidly growing practice. The role will be based primarily in our offices located on the High Street in
Brentwood, Essex.
As a Mixed Tax manager your responsibilities will cover both Personal, direct and Corporate Tax,
where you will providing advisory, compliance and tax planning services to your portfolio.
This position provides a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Accountant to grow and develop a
small tax team and expand the tax offering across a rapidly growing practice, offering services to
new and existing clients in Essex, London and Nationwide.
You should be highly motivated, technically competent and have the ability to manage multiple
workstreams autonomously. You should have a good mixed tax understanding specifically around
personal tax and associated overseas aspects including disclosures and enquiries.
Knowledge of CGT, ATED, CT and VAT an distinct advantage. You should be commercially focused in
your approach to manging work and dealing with clients.
You must have experience in providing both written and verbal advice to clients as well as
experience dealing with HMRC and other stakeholders.
You should have experience with HMRC enquiries and be competent bringing such matters to a
successful conclusion autonomously or where required, utilising the support of our partnerships
with legal and tax specialist.
Duties Overview
Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
General oversight of all tax submissions across the practice
Work closely with new and existing clients on planning and advisory
Identify and develop new revenue opportunities
Ability and attitude to win new business
Provide written and verbal tax advice [Mixed Tax with emphasis on Personal Tax]
Manage all tax compliance across firm supervising team of qualified and junior FTE.
Dealing with HMRC Enquiries
Dealing with HMRC Disclosures [LPC, WDF, etc]
Advise and research as required on specific tax issues
Complete technical research alongside our Tax Support Teams [Croner, PFP]
Understanding taxation of corporate group structures
Advisory projects, including letter and report writing
Writing Articles for website
Working with our external legal team on legal matters
Prepare and generate Personal Tax Returns
Attend client meetings as appropriate across all locations
Preparing engagement letters

The successful candidate will be FCA/CTA qualified or equivalent preferably with 8 years post
qualification experience.
You will have a strong grounding in tax compliance and advisory having exposure to enquiries and
disclosures. You should be personable and can demonstrate a high level of competency, developing
and leveraging long term client relationships. English should be first language.
