MOD Head Office runs the department of state and the military strategic headquarters and has annual expenditure of £2bn+ including operating costs, 15-20 strategic programmes, enabling organisations, and the science and technology portfolio. Effective management of this expenditure is essential to ensure the rest of the Defence enterprise operates optimally.

We are implementing the Finance Functional Leadership (FFL) change programme, so it is an exciting time to join the team and influence the changes we are making. FFL is consistent with a wider Defence and government agenda to align the finance function across central government.

The advertised roles is within the Management Information & Consolidation team in Head Office. There is an anticipation that further SEO roles will become available in the coming months in the same and similar teams, with a reserve list used for any candidates who reached the required standard at interview but weren't successful against the two advertised posts.
