We are looking for our next Trainee Accountant to join our practice. This role offers progression and development potential for the right candidate and comes with full study support, initially for the AAT qualification, and possibly moving on to either ACCA or ACA. This role is open to candidates that have at least 12 months experience in practice.
Role Description
You will work within either our Newcastle office or Hale office, alongside our qualified staff, and Team Leaders, to service a varied portfolio with clients in many different industries. You will be asked to support the team in a number of ways, absorbing the work experience and knowledge along the way with the end goal of becoming AAT Qualified. The firm is expanding and has structured growth and development plans in place and therefore presents a superb career opportunity for practice professionals looking to progress in their accounting careers.
Your role will include the following:
- Bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Accounts preparation from base records
- Preparation of Tax documents (Self Assessment, Corporation Tax etc)
- Management accounts preparation
- Client & colleague communication
- Possible involvement in audit field work
- General admin tasks to support the team on an adhoc basis
Profile
You will be:
- Looking to study or currently studying AAT:
- GCSE grade B/6 or above in Maths and English
- Able to work under pressure
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice
- Passionate about offering a high-quality service to clients
- Friendly, and able to communicate clearly to both your colleagues and clients.
- Have great time management skills
Trainee with at least 12 months experience in practice. Full study support given.
