Position Summary

This upcoming summer you will have the exciting opportunity to work in our Retail team. You will support the team with projects and deliverables focusing on advancing Retail Finance systems and driving to implementation. You will present your results to the Retail Leadership team and highlight the impact to the business. You will be responsible for reporting qualitative and quantitative analysis on financial transactions that take place across our portfolio of retail locations. You will be responsible for communicating and providing strategic insight around your findings. You will participate in ad hoc accounting and various financial duties as assigned. You will be tasked with project management activities in order to drive alignment with internal business groups.

General Duties include but are not limited to:
• Analyze actual operating results and interpret data and presents results to management
• Perform fiscal and variance analysis on a variety of issues to facilitate budgetary decision making
• Audit 3rd party labor & credit card transactions
• Provide financial management reports as needed to management
• Perform other finance or administrative support projects and tasks assigned by financial management.

Role and Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience and seeking an MBA
  • Prior consulting experience preferred
  • Experience utilizing SAP R/3 software a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to advise retail operations group to achieve team goals within established time frames and requirements. The ability to develop specific business plans and metrics, clearly define results to be achieved. The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects of own initiative. The ability to read, interpret, and present financial documents, media materials and contracts (or related information) to team members. Demonstrate competency in persuasive communication skills using both oral and written modes for internal and external personnel at all management and staff organizational levels to achieve budgets and to communicate technical information. Numerical accuracy (prices, product details, etc.) in all customer and internal communications where errors will result in crucial financial consequences to the company. The ability to work independently and determine personal work schedule to be productive. The ability to accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to develop solutions to accomplish the desired goal. The ability to utilize implied knowledge of task alternatives and to make decisions using past experience and the guidance and/or successful experiences of others.

Skills and Qualifications

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited University
  • Proper work authorization
  • Maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Attend New Hire Orientation on first day
