We're seeking a ServiceNow Business Analyst, with specialisation in Enterprise Risk and Financial Risk Management. An experienced consultant who's an encouraging team player, is passionate about solutioning enterprise risk and compliance management processes in ServiceNow and has a knack for producing an excellent customer experience in designing highly supportable solutions.This role is available in Sydney and Melbourne.

What you'll do

  • Elicits, challenges, and prioritizes requirements using standard processes and templates, and translates complex enterprise risk frameworks, operating models and processes into functional design and use case documents.
  • Develops project scope, objectives, constraints and assumptions for a given large, strategic, multi-year project.
  • Participates and provides guidance in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. Consults internal business groups on requirements, functional architecture and implementation.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client's requirements then applying industry best practices and detailed knowledge of ServiceNow to design an optimal solution which supports the business process meeting or exceeding the functional requirements.
  • Builds a trusting relationship with major project stakeholders and leads them to adoption of the best solution.
  • Supports organizational change management (OCM) efforts by providing information on the "to be" solution.
  • Leads quality management reviews and ensures all business and design requirements are met.
  • Can extend business analyst skills beyond Risk and Compliance in other areas like Security Operations and HR.
  • Conducts application and implemented business processes demonstrations to stakeholders; may support preparation of training material and provide user training.


Skills and attributes for success

  • Mandatory ServiceNow certifications (preferable to have Risk and Compliance certification in ServiceNow).
  • Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk and Financial Crime Risk frameworks (e.g. ISO 31000).
  • Preferred 2-4 years of ServiceNow platform and development experience.
  • Sound understanding on Cyber and Technology Risk and Security frameworks (eg NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, NiST 800-30, and/or PCI) is preferable.
  • Understanding of how the ServiceNow Chatbot functionality works on the Portal.
  • Good understanding of the Knowledge/Content features of the platform.
  • Supervisory experience working with a diverse internal and client teams.
  • Client presentation development; executive presence.
  • Ability to produce documentation utilising the MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management as it relates to ITIL.
  • Experience managing relationships, operating procedures and service level agreements with clients and coworkers.
  • Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experienced in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including client requirement analysis and system design.
  • Experience designing and implementing IT and Non-IT related process workflows, procedures and technical standards.
  • Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions.


It's great, but not required, if you have

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with developing on a SAAS platform is advantageous.
