We are looking for a dedicated Business Partner to support the Group Supply Chain & Logistics Directors and their teams, providing financial challenge and support with the aim of driving improved business performance

Responsibilities What you’ll be doing:

  • Work collaboratively with the S&L Insights team to produce robust, timely & insightful reporting on banner Inventory and Logistics performance (actual & forecast) and to ensure metrics evolve according to business context.
  • Support the Group S&L teams with business cases and analysis relating to tactical and strategic projects, ensuring strong governance. Ensure these projects are appropriately reflected in budgets & forecasts.
  • Lead all financial elements of the S&L central costs budget & long term planning process working closely with the S&L People partner.
  • Own the financial aspects of Value Task Force programme for Supply & Logistics ensuring alignment with banners and preparation of materials for functional and Group level Steering Groups.
  • Establish strong relationships with Banner finance teams and Group FP&A to ensure good understanding of Supply and Logistics financial performance including benchmarking across Banners

Qualifications What experience you’ll bring:

  • Naturally, you would be a qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience preferably in commercial roles
  • Strong business partnering / commercial finance experience preferably in logistics / supply chain / retail or FMCG environment would be advantageous
  • You would need to be able to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels but also independently minded and willing to challenge and influence outcomes
  • Having strong communication skills would help you excel in this role
  • You would need to be comfortable working in a fluid & agile environment, managing multiple priorities & stakedholders
