About Finance at THG

Finance at THG is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of finance from central functions such as accounts receivable and payable, treasury, tax and internal audit, to specific commercial teams for each of our divisions; Beauty, Tech, Consumer, Health and Brands. About the Role

The Group is a listed business with increasing corporate governance and accounting requirements. These are across the UK and globally. You will head up our UK compliance and consolidation responsibilities with a critical  role in transforming our processes to an automated solution whilst also supporting on the THG PLC Group audit, interim review and project work. Sitting at a Group level, you will see all divisions of the business and work closely with our commercial teams, you will therefore be someone who is personable and keen to build strong relationships and networks across the business. You will have strong project management skills driving high quality deliverables on time.

You will be part of the Group Finance team, reporting into the Group Financial Reporting Director and have a team of five reporting into you ranging from graduate to 3 years post qualified. In addition you will gain exposure to senior stakeholders and the Senior Leadership team.

Your day to day responsibilities will (but not limited to) be as follows;

• Head up our group-wide UK compliance responsibilities, project planning and managing a team of 2-3 to deliver this workstream,
• Review and deliver high quality financial statements compliant with FRS 101 (IFRS),
• Head up our consolidation team, managing a team of 2-3, review of the monthly Group consolidation and quarterly divisional consolidations, presentation to divisional CFO’s and other key stakeholders,
• Lead the implementation of technology solutions to automate both the UK compliance and consolidation workstreams transforming the processes,
• Constantly challenge the status quo on how we can improve controls across the Group, implement ideas and improvements to strength our financial controls,
• Support the wider Group Financial reporting team on the delivery of the THG Group audit, interim and other reporting requirements,
• Direct and mentor junior members of the team,
• Build strong networks across the business, regularly liaising with the divisional teams, legal and tax teams.
• Opportunity to get involved with one off projects,
• Report to the Group Financial Reporting Director and Group CFO regularly on key issues.

Role Requirements

• Understanding the principles of accounting and auditing, demonstrating a keen eye for detail,
• Strong communication skills as this will involve dealing with a wide range of stakeholders across the business,
• An individual who is keen to build strong networks,
• Financial Reporting experience and strong knowledge of IFRS,
• Experience of transformation using technology desired,
• Excellent reporting skills,
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with 5+ years post qualified experience in a practice and Industry environment, would consider straight from practice if the right candidate,
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment,
• Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines,
• A confident mindset, comfortable in dealing with a wide range of key stakeholders.

This role will be based out of our Manchester Airport offices. Whilst we do offer hybrid working, you would be required to attend the office at least 3 days a week.
