About the role

We are currently offering a placement opportunity which will give exposure in the three following areas of accountancy:

Accounts and Business Services

As part of a role as an Accounts and Business Services Associate you will provide assistance with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and record keeping for clients and also assist your colleagues with obtaining information for the completion of tax and VAT returns. As well as providing support to your clients from an accounting perspective, you will also be communicating with HMRC and really gaining a full insight into the world of accounts.

Audit

As part of a role as an Audit Associate you will assist with the preparation of financial statements for limited companies, LLP’s, and charities from trial balance stage. You will be working and collaborating with other members in the audit and accounts team in order to build strong working relationships. You will be providing assistance on statutory audits as you continue to develop your knowledge. As your confidence grows so will your project management skills as you work to meet deadlines and budget constraints for clients.

Tax

As part of a role as a Tax Associate you will predominantly be working in our corporation tax compliance team and will provide assistance as needed on advisory projects. We would expect you to gain experience in dealing with all corporation tax compliance matters on a range of clients. As an integral and valued member of the team you will be expected to form and build long term relationships with new and existing clients to assist them in achieving their objectives.

Qualification

We have created a first-class training and development programme and, by starting your career at Azets, in addition to the comprehensive on the job training, you will also be given all the support you need to complete a professional qualification, including college and/or study days, mentoring and a designated buddy.

We offer a range of different qualification pathways at Azets which are determined by the role you are applying for. The qualification that will be undertaken for this position will be the ACCA.

To get the job that you’ll love you will have:

• You will need the right to work in the UK from your start date.
• On track to achieve or have already achieved a minimum 2:1 in your undergraduate degree
• Set to graduate in 2025
