Job Description & Summary
South East Commercial Audit
The South-East Commercial Audit business at PwC is one of the largest within the UK firm and a strategic priority for growth. And we're growing. Fast. We provide external audit and audit related services to a broad range of clients, from large multinationals to tech start-ups, from five offices with over 850 staff and Partners. Our clients are from an incredibly diverse mix of sectors; from engineering to financial services and gaming to pharmaceuticals. Our proximity to big business means that you'll get to work on some of the largest and most complex projects across the firm, whilst maintaining an unparalleled breadth of client experience.
Watford Office
Our home in Watford puts us at the centre of a diverse region with one of the fastest growing economies in the UK. Opening in December 2020, the office offers a new agile workplace. It is a key base that will support the firmwide strategy of delivering a broad range of services in larger offices outside central London. From Watford, PwC predominantly serves clients in the North of London and neighbouring home counties.
Graduates joining the Watford team will have the benefit of joining a mid-size office with a strong sense of community. You'll have the opportunity to work with a range of clients from household names to local entrepreneurial businesses. Reflective of the local economy, our Watford office works closely with clients in the automotive, hospitality, retail and technology industries.
Programme
Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.
What you'll do
You'll be providing market leading audit services to an unprecedented range of clients including one of the largest shares of FTSE 100 companies of any UK audit firm. Our clients range from leading multinational companies to start-ups, from family businesses and governments, to charities and private individuals. Within financial services our clients cover industries within banking and capital markets, private equity, insurance, and consumer finance. Our audit helps organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business.
What you'll gain
You'll also study for your professional chartered accounting qualification. You'll have a lot of support from your team, career coach and buddy to help you achieve this. It's the variety and opportunity we offer that allows you to develop a broad range of effective business skills and enables our people to excel across the breadth of work Audit offers, both on the training schemes and further on in your career.
During our three year programme, you will also study towards the Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification.
What you'll need
You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
When to apply
Although there is no application deadline, each year we have only a small number of roles available. We therefore advise applying early, but please be prepared for a short wait in processing your application at each stage of our process while we consider your application alongside others.
