Assistant Financial Accountant

Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant this role will be integral in supporting the wider finance team.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will be;

• Assist in the provision of accurate, timely and reliable accounting information for management account preparation
• Creation of journal entries in support of Accruals & Prepayments
• Reconciliation of sections of the company balance sheet accounts for parent and subsidiaries on a monthly basis
• Assist with VAT and other mandatory returns
• Advising on GL Coding as required
• Preparation of summary reports for audit purposes
• Preparation of suitable disclosures notes in formats suitable to the relevant data

Profile

The successful Assistant Financial Accountant will possesses robust knowledge of financial system practices and processes, have completed or be studying towards a relevant financial qualification, be a good communicator both orally and written - imparting financial information to non-financial managers and advanced Excel skills essential - VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables with Data manipulation. They will also need to have had over 3 years experience in a finance setting and have good knowledge of management accounts.

Job Offer

On offer to successful candidate is a salary of up to £30,000, a role as an Assistant Financial Accountant with the potential to grow and develop within the business based in Birmingham.
