Underpinning our transformation is a Planning & Analysis Finance team within a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) that looks after our investment cost base, such as expanding our Cloud operations and Big Data ambitions.
The CoE provides an outstanding service dedicated to enabling Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to deliver effective, Finance conversations with the Business.

We're looking for someone who can help cultivate an environment in which people bring out the best within the Planning & Analysis team and nurture the customer-centric philosophy.

You'll be working in a collaborative fashion with teams such as FBPs, Business Management and Reporting & Control, building and maintaining strong working relationships across both Finance and the wider business.

Financial Services experience would be useful but isn't crucial and if you had experience of systems like PAX or SAP then this would be handy.

You'll be working in a collaborative fashion with teams such as FBPs, Business Management and Reporting & Control, building and maintaining strong working relationships across both Finance and the wider business.
Here's what you'd be focusing on:
- Being the key point of contact for FBPs within the CoE
- Collaborating across the CoE to deliver aspects of our investment portfolio in a timely manner
- Delivering reporting, analysis & insight to the senior management and providing effective and reliable support to both FBPs and the business
- Ensuring that core finance processes, reporting, budgeting and (re)forecasting are delivered accurately and effectively
And some of the specific task you'd undertake:
- Cost planning and analysis activities across BAU and Investment projects, challenging where required and providing commentary, analysis & insight
- Communicating and challenging Business Partners and Control teams over month-end irregularities
- Supporting new analysis, scenario modelling and providing insights to the business to support strategic and operational results
- You'd also be the go-to person for the modelling, tracking and forecasting of realised/expected financial benefits against their proposed targets
- And you'd have an active role to play in project activity to improve team processes and, more broadly, processes across Group Cost Management
What do we need to see on your CV?
- You'll need to be a qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc. (or equivalent)
- You'll show you have a good level of experience in Cost planning & Analysis activities within a Finance context working within a similarly large organisation
And wider?
