Hazlewoods Corporate Finance team provide specialist advice to small and mid-market businesses on a wide range of transactions including business acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, business valuations and raising finance for expansion.
The team has grown significantly over the last 12 months and now comprises five Partners and more than 40 professionals, with further expansion plans for 2022. With record-breaking results in 2021, after advising on transactions worth more than £1 billion, it’s an exciting time to join our growing team in Cheltenham.
The right person will:
Assist in lead advisory assignments with a typical transaction value of up to £15 million
Develop an understanding of a client’s business and its commercial drivers
Evaluate the current trading performance of the business, leading to preparing projections and underlying assumptions
Be involved in the production of quality, detailed written sales documentation within agreed timescales
Prepare business valuations, identify and approach potential acquirers
Present businesses for sale in an accurate and positive manner
Review the adequacy of working capital facilities, including consideration of financing limits, terms, and covenants
Prepare and review Heads of Agreement, along with review and comment on Sale and Purchase Agreements
Assist with queries arising from the acquirers’ due diligence processes and approach business on behalf of acquirers
Travel within the UK and be flexible to meet peaks of work inherent in the cycle of a deal
Have the opportunity to work on both Healthcare specialist transactions as well as general markets
You will thrive in this role if:
You are ACA/ACCA qualified and/or working in a financial services environment
You have relevant transactional experience (advantageous but not essential)
You have an excellent working knowledge of Excel as a reporting tool and to analyse data effectively
You have outstanding communication skills, as well as strong time management and organisational skills
You have a ‘hands on’ practical and commercial approach to work
