Hazlewoods Legal team are specialised accountants and tax advisers, helping law firms realise their potential and develop new opportunities.

The team works with a number of organisations and groups, such as the ICAEW's Solicitors Advisory Group for the last 15 years, ensuring we can provide law firms with the most up to date business advice and support.

The team comprises around 30 professionals, including four Partners, and service over 150 law firms and over 600 individual solicitors across the country. 

We are currently looking for an Accounts/Audit Manager in an important growth area for the business, with the responsibility for delivering an exceptional service to a high calibre client portfolio.  It’s an exciting time to join our growing team in Cheltenham. 

The right person will:

Fully supervise a portfolio of legal practice clients, including a number of audit clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of their accounting / audit and advisory needs. Review accounts and audit work, statutory financial reporting and completion work. Review SRA Accounts Rules audit work and recommend improvements to clients. Supervise work at clients’ premises and liaise with clients, acting as a key point of contact for day to day ad hoc queries and enquiries. Be involved in project work, such as practice restructuring, valuations, mergers, succession planning, etc. Liaise closely with our internal tax team and be able to deal with tax computations and tax issues. Supervise, motivate and coach members of the team, including involvement in training and appraisals. Help create a vibrant working environment, where individual talent can thrive, within a dynamic team framework, where everyone works towards a common goal. Review and appraise internal working practices, identifying areas where efficiency improvements can be made.
