Accounting Manager
Alter Domus is currently seeking a new Accounting Manager to join our Finance team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Review asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Investigate accounting guidance to provide insight and oversight into technical accounting areas as needed
- Provide leadership and oversight of the monthly close process to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's accounting records
- Protect assets by assisting in the creation of controls, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
- Maintain financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and mentoring
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
- 3 – 5 years in corporate accounting or audit.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with finance team members, internal and external parties.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivots, lookups), proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Outstanding attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Experience with accounting systems (Intacct a plus).
- Intellectual curiosity to learn and implement best practices and share concepts.
