Discover the role

The Accounting and Tax Manager will lead our A&T department, and together with the Supervisors ensure that the client work is delivered up to TMF quality standards and in a timely manner. Our new colleague will be a good people manager, dedicated to the development of our team, and will work on a portfolio of high-end international clients, reporting directly to the Country Leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives the department to meet the overall KPIs by coaching, evaluating, and motivating the team;
• Works in close cooperation with the supervisors (SMEs) but also local management;
• Checks the workload, planning, and productivity of team members;
• Trains team members in accordance with company policies and ensures internal procedures are followed;
• Manages full client’s portfolio through expertise and team management in close collaboration with the team:
  global review of the firm’s clients' accounts; review of periodical reporting’s and annual accounts; review of VAT & tax returns; review of reportings according to Belgian Standards or IFRS Coordination and follow up client audits;
• Manage the customer relationship and expectations, handle complaints/escalations to ensure regular communication to maintain a good relationship with all customers;
• Preparation of commercial services offers (fee proposals);
• Coordinates the onboarding of new clients;
• Based on his/her deep knowledge of procedures and systems drives standardization and process improvements.

About you

• Dutch or French mother tongue with solid knowledge of the other language;
• Fluent knowledge of English (C1/C2);
• Bachelor in Accounting - Master in Tax or equivalent;
• Member of the ITAA (Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants);
• At least 5 years of experience in outsourcing firms or multinational environments;
• At least 3 years of experience in coaching other staff members and managing team members;
• Strong people management skills and team player;
• Engages and builds credibility;
• Is able to tactfully deal with situations should they arise;
• Maintains good relationships with clients and at all levels top and down across the Group;
• Focus and determination to meet goals (both individual and team goals);
• Ability to meet high-quality standards;
• Problem-solving and hands-on attitude;
• Puts colleagues/clients at the center of everything they do to ensure a positive experience;
• Role model for the team with appropriate work ethic.
