About the role

Reporting directly to the Chef Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading the finance function by delivering financial advice and support across the organisation. You will also manage compliance with all legislation and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review, prepare and present financial statements /reports monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Provide support to the COO with strategic analysis and planning
  • Manage a team of four Accountants/Finance Officers
  • Manage and improve accounting systems including accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of all ATO matters (GST, FBT, PAYG and fuel rebates)
  • Manage the lodgement of forms and returns from Consumer Affairs, ACNC and ASIC
  • Complete financial acquittals (NDSS, life!) for government officials and stakeholders
  • Manage adhoc financial reporting and other administrative requirements relating to business needs

The successful candidate

This management role is critical to ensure the smooth-running operations of the finance, compliance, office management and legislative requirements. You will collaborate across the whole business providing sound financial advice.

Key skills:

  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager role - has knowledge of systems, budgeting and cost control principles
  • Action-orientated, with strong time management skills
  • Tech-savvy, an Excel whiz, and able to troubleshoot common issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to be articulate confidently with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong team management experience, to guide and mentor
