To complete the daily accounting operations of the cashbook and the sales and purchase ledgers and to assist in the running of the accounts department.

Description

  • To detail and post cashbook transactions from the bank statement daily and produce reconciliation.
  • To prepare daily banking and ensure policy controls are in place
  • Reconcile credit cards and process on DMS on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and reconcile receipts from supplementary platforms
  • Download documents from manufacturers system as and when required.
  • Monitor Aged debt (cash and vehicle ledger accounts) and make sure we adhere to policy.
  • Responsibility for closing and reconciling sales ledger balances to nominal ledger control accounts
  • Reconcile various debtor NL accounts and follow up narrative and controls
  • Support and assist PL team when required
  • Assist with Cash flow forecast
  • To undertake ad hoc duties as requested from the Dealership Accountants and Deputy accountant

Profile

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and experience with account reconciliation, sales ledger, and processing banking requests. Experience working within a motor industry accounts department and using the Keyloop Kerridge/CDK/DRIVE system is preferable. Must have a "can do" attitude and the ability to follow up on accounting queries.
