About us

Remote role! can be based anywhere in the UK.

As a Professional Qualification Manager, you will have a distinct role supporting Azets UK in dealing with the management, support and administration of all professional qualifications including apprenticeships.

You will report to and support the Head of Learning and Development to achieve the groups qualification and apprenticeship strategy working with the regional HR teams to support our students to success.

As part of this role, you will also manage a team of advisors and coordinators who will have a regional focus supporting their regions students (responsibilities of the team are below)

The role

The Key responsibilities can be summarised as:

  • To develop, deliver and manage the Azets UK Student Programme
  • Manage a team of professional qualification advisors and coordinators ensuring student & student manager support is provided (including supporting struggling students), providing clear guidance and support to the team
  • Manage the process that monitors our trainee progress and report to key stakeholders ensuring early intervention and support exam success
  • Ensure regular communication with regions, enabling support surgeries for students and managers
  • Build and Manage Training Provider Relationships
  • Manage the Training Accreditation process
  • Be an escalation point for the regional HR teams and student managers
  • Regularly Identify process improvements and take action to implement efficiencies that support the business needs
  • Design and delivery of relevant student inductions and support presentations

Team Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring the team you manage provides effective support to our students across all UK regions, where their duties will include but are not limited to:-

  • Day to day support of students and queries
  • Student file reviews and progress reporting
  • Managing the Azets qualification tracker including up to date student data
  • Scheduling courses & making bookings, where relevant for and on behalf of the student
  • Ensure clear timetables are provided
  • Deliver student inductions
  • Apprenticeship Levy Management – Including managing digital accounts service
  • Finance Process including Reporting and budget support
  • Policy Management
  • All Admin processes
  • Take care of all administration for the students, allowing chargeable staff to focus on production
  • Put in additional learning, coaching and mentoring for our students
Key Accountabilities
  • Be responsible for providing a first-class experience to our students with excellent customer support and effective management of stakeholders.
  • Utilise excellent communication skills to enable you to identify and build valuable, sustainable relationships both internally and externally.
  • Take a collaborative approach focusing on delivering best value to the customer and to the business.
  • Deliver excellent customer satisfaction as measured by NPS and other relevant KPIs.
  • Manage a high performing team and utilise Azets development programmes and tools to maximise the contribution of your team members and develop their careers.
  • Ensure that your training providers SLAs are monitored regularly with swift action when these are not being met.
  • Promote, champion, and encourage better diversity in the organisation by recognising, respecting and valuing peoples differences to contribute and realise their full potential by promoting an inclusive culture for all.
Skills & experience
  • Relevant experience or skills in team management
  • Have a sound knowledge of the main professional qualifications at Azets (ACA, ACCA, AAT, ATT, CTA) and a willingness to create knowledge on all others
  • Have experience in supporting similar populations of colleagues, in an educational scenario
  • Experience in providing excellent quality customer service
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights and reporting packs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation skills
  • Previous management experience in a similar environment is preferred but not essential
