Client Details

Our client is a Group of companies based in Grantham, which have a combined turnover of £40 million. They have a very diverse and friendly accounts team.

Description

You will be working as part of the friendly and supportive finance team of c. 16 and will be reporting into an ACCA Qualified Management Accountant. You and the Management Accountant will be jointly responsible for producing the accounts for 2 companies within the Group, which have a combined turnover of c. £7 million. The Management Accountant will provide you with all of the necessary training and support. As you learn, your duties will develop and your role in the future will progress to Management Accountant. After you have received the necessary training, your initial duties will include:

  • Posting and reconciling the cashbook
  • Investigating unknown transactions on the bank statement
  • Posting monthly accruals
  • Posting prepayments to the accounts
  • Posting depreciation journals
  • Posting payroll adjustments and expenses
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Posting to Sage any interest and witholding tax journals

Profile

To apply for this role, you:

  • must have experience of working in finance
  • will ideally be studying an accounting qualification, such as AAT
