Amazon's Global Sourcing Program Team is looking for customer-obsessed Process Improvement interns to lead initiatives that can enable scalable and more efficient product development and launch for our Private Label business. The duration of the internship will be 24 weeks start from Jan 2023. The intern will work in the Amazon Global Sourcing office in Nanshan, Shenzhen.

The successful candidate will enjoy diving deep into data, identifying insights and driving automation for process improvements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly collaborative, analytical, creative, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be self-driven and have the analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results. Finally, the candidate must also be a strong communicator, with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively.

Primary Responsibility Include:

  • Identify bottlenecks in processes and seek to implement process optimizations
  • Understand how data is used to drive the business and product launches
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and pain points
  • Conduct industry research to seek opportunities of driving ecommerce traffic
  • Implement and drive automation projects to scale business


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate between Jun 2023 to Aug 2024, currently working towards a Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in Data Science, Business Analyst, Marketing, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or Information Management (or similar field)
  • High attention to detail, comfortable with "hands-on" management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Classroom and project experience in research
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Work 4 to 5 days per week for 6 months.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in a similar field
  • Proficient in Excel, SQL, VBA, Python, or Tableau
  • Project Management experience will be a plus
