Financial Accountant / Brighton - Hybrid
Client Details
My client is a well-established organisation looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team. Working on a hybrid basis, you will be working remotely on a majority basis.
Description
As the Financial Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of general ledgers including revenue and staff expenses postings, accruals, prepayments and other general ledger journals
- Liaise with the FP&A team to explain monthly variances to budget and YoY
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of coding of invoices, expenses and other items
- Ensure all payroll journals are correctly posted
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including unearned revenue, all payroll control accounts, accruals and prepayments. Ensure differences are identified and resolved.
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecast for GBP and other
- Prepare fixed asset capitalisations, reconcile to general ledger and manage fixed asset Work In Progress accounts.
Profile
To be successful in your application for Financial Accountant, you should be:
- ACCA/CIMA studier advantageous
- Experienced with month-end accounting
- Experienced in preparation of general ledger
- Completion of high-volume Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Competent Excel user to pivots/lookups
