The role
We are recruiting for a Model Run Performance Manager to join our Actuarial Services Team to support and maintain complex and high profile application software to support the Group's business processes and lead others in this discipline.
This position is a key role within the Actuarial Services Team overseeing the running of our core actuarial system MG-ALFA and associated Milliman software. The role will work with BAU and project customers to interpret requirements on model runs and monitor the performance through the Milliman platform. The role will look to optimise model runs and identify areas for improvement in our use of the software. At times the role will be required to monitor performance of the models out of hours.
Key responsibilities will include you working with other teams across the department to interpret requests for model runs and identify ways to optimise requests to reduce both resource and system strain. You will also oversee the control framework for the running of these systems as well as completing budget planning on Azure Cloud costs.
What are we looking for?
We would ideally like you to have experience of managing and delivering change in an IT structured environment, including experience of working with MG-ALFA and other Cloud services. It is essential that you have experience working within a Finance or Actuarial department. You do not need to be a qualified Actuary however we do require you to have an Undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
