Tax Associate

Location: Phase 4 Bahria Town, Islamabad
Timings: 5 PM - 2 AM

Basic Requirements
· Should possess strong written and verbal English communication skills, active listening, a positive attitude, and empathy for coworkers
· At least 3.5 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility within the accounting function. Up to a maximum of 2.5 years in auditing/taxation may be considered as relevant experience
· Should have good knowledge of SECP/Tax and statutory fillings
· IFRS knowledge is preferable.
· Must possess advanced level expertise with Microsoft Excel
· Member or finalists of any professional accounting body (ACCA / ICAP/ICAEW/CIMA/ ICMAP)
· Ability to drive and deliver projects single-handedly
· Ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment to achieve clear goals

Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare invoices and record accounting data in ERP and take care withholding tax liabilities on each transaction on daily basis
· Visit banks whenever required
· Prepare financial reports as required by the senior management
· Ensure, on time month end closing activities along with required informative disclosures
· Processing and recording payments as per established SOPs
· Prepare bank reconciliations and other management reports on daily basis
· Undertake the monthly, and quarterly income tax withholding statement submission
· Filing of all the income tax and SECP form A, 29 in online portals including annual tax returns
· Issuance of income tax withholding certificates to vendors and employees
· Handle and correspond to the notices from FBR, SECP and EOBI
· Should prosses good command on Employees’ Provident Fund and EOB
· Participate actively in external annual audit activities
· Special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
· Prepare accurate Financial Statement and month-end close reports
· Understanding of labor laws, Corporate and other legal compliance requirements in Pakistan will be a plus
· Any relevant tasks assigned by the management
