Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions Group provides integrated cash management and trade finance services to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations across the globe. TTS offers the industry's most comprehensive suite of treasury and trade solutions, including cash management, payments, receivables, liquidity management and investment services, working capital solutions, commercial and prepaid card programs, trade finance and services. TTS Operations provides the day-to-day processing and servicing needs of the TTS Client base across 101 countries.

The role is part of the Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Operations Leadership team and is responsible for the day-to-day activities and strategic development of TTS Operations and Client Services across 43 countries in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). The TTS Operations function globally oversees 13K staff in 101 countries generating $13bn in revenue. Within EMEA, the function with have an oversight of ~3.4K FTE The leader must collaborate with peers and the Global Operations Head in designing and implementing programs designed to improve client satisfaction, operational efficiency, risk & control platform and team effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership of the combined Operations function for EMEA
  • Participate in defining global strategic solutions for the TTS Operations function that reflect the objectives of TTS and are appropriately tailored and fit for purpose within the EMEA region
  • Build strong and effective relationships with key regional partners in TTS Sales, Product and Technology organisation.
  • Actively participate in the development of the business and client solutions within EMEA. Ensure client solutions and capabilities have strong foundations in implementation simplicity, STP processing, risk profile and self-servicing,
  • Integration of the Client Service and Operations functions to reduce overlap, enhance service levels and productivity.
  • Through a comprehensive right placement strategy ensure work is completed at the appropriate risk, regulatory, cost and quality profile.
  • Evaluate and adjust work output provided by Citi's extended workforce partners, including role value measurement & negotiation.
  • Accountable for establishing and regularly testing the effectiveness of the risk and control disciplines for all processes.
  • Accountable for enhancing the risk and control environment for processes in line with the changing business and regulatory environment.
  • Key contact for regulators to cover our operational activities and control environment.
  • Create a technology roadmap that maximises the impact of investment dollars towards operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Develop senior leaders to support future growth plans and fill critical operating roles.
  • Create and maintain strong team effectiveness strategies focused on core skill building and performance management.
  • Execute a communication plan to engage with the EMEA workforce that provides transparency of execution and encourages participation and collaboration,
  • Monitor the competitive landscape within the industry. Predict trends in client requirements and competitors solutions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with peer region heads to ensure appropriate levels of commonality are achieved and best practice is shared and adopted.

  • Significant experience in Financial Services
  • Demonstrated skills in integrating large operations
  • Strategic Business thinker with proven track record of transforming large organizations
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain business partnerships and client relationships.
  • Experience analysing client requirements and developing suitable, cost-effective solutions
  • Experience in performing complex problem solving and business trade off decision analysis

  • Highly organised with strong program and change management skills
  • Demonstrated people leadership / management

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
