Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (hybrid working)

Role Overview:

You will support Product Owners and the Digital Team by interpreting the business & customer requirements into understandable development tasks to deliver software with the expected business & customer value.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...
  • Leading customer needs analysis to shape an initial idea into a viable product.
  • Providing agile business analysis across a range of digital projects.
  • Working with the Product Owners and customers to identify and capture their needs.
  • Aligning with the Product Owners, understanding the vison and strategy for the product and communicating the needs, vision and priorities to the engineering team.
  • Defining product backlogs, epics, MVP features, sprint backlogs, user stories, functional/non-functional requirements, workflows and acceptance criteria.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with both product and engineering teams to facilitate communications and effectively being the bridge between the two units.
  • Working with the product and engineering teams to assess requirements and ensure optimal software delivery pipeline is in operation.
  • Proactively prioritising user stories to ensure required functionality is delivered on time.
  • Managing changes to scope and ensure correct level of business challenge to business requirements.

Your previous experience is likely to include....

Agile Business Analyst with end-to-end project delivery experience, delivering customer facing business systems solutions, ecommerce portals, IoT solutions and Mobile Apps using a range of modern technologies. You are comfortable using agile techniques and supporting testing facilitation, script, scenario and case writing.

  • Have a good understanding of web/mobile development with a keen interest in user experience and user journeys.
  • Hold strong analytical skills and can understand problems and express the complexity of them in clear terms to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to take the initiative, be assertive and think strategically - prioritising and managing your own workload.
  • Ability to deliver quality in a fast-paced environment, to emerging and tight timelines.
  • Excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be quality focus and have high attention to detail.
